Petrus Aviation partnered with Connecticut based Hamden Aviation to refinance two leased Boeing 737-400 freighter aircraft.  The aircraft was owned by Hamden and was previously subject to a debt financing arrangement.  Petrus and Hamden jointly developed a flexible equity partnership structure to facilitate the repayment of the debt and new ownership of the aircraft.  This venture adds to Petrus’s growing partner base and increases Petrus’s already substantial fleet of leased 737 classic freighters.  Hamden Aviation will continue to manage the aircraft which are leased to ASL Airlines in Ireland and Raya Airways in Malaysia.  Petrus Aviation and Hamden Aviation have jointly positioned themselves to capitalize on future opportunistic acquisitions and aircraft financings in both the developed and emerging markets.
